The usage environment of imported bearings and the selection of lubricants

2023-12-17

The selection of specifications, dimensions, and accuracy based on the usage location, usage conditions, and environmental conditions, combined with suitable Timken imported bearings, is a prerequisite for ensuring bearing life and reliability.

1. Usage: Conical roller bearings are suitable for bearing combined radial and axial loads, mainly radial loads. They are usually paired with two sets of imported Timken bearings and are mainly used in transmission parts such as front and rear wheel hubs, active bevel gears, differentials, and reducers of automobiles.

2. Permissible speed: In a properly installed and well lubricated environment, it is allowed to be 0.3-0.5 times the maximum speed of the imported Timken bearing. Under normal circumstances, a maximum speed of 0.2 times is most suitable.

3. Permissible tilt angle: Generally, tapered roller bearings do not allow the shaft to tilt relative to the housing hole. If there is a tilt, the maximum should not exceed 2 '.

4. Permissible temperature: Under normal load conditions, with the lubricant having high temperature resistance and sufficient lubrication, general bearings are allowed to operate in ambient temperatures of -30 ℃ -150 ℃.

Selection of bearing lubricating grease

Improper lubrication accounts for 36% of the causes of premature bearing failure. Universal lubricating grease cannot meet the needs of various special bearing applications. Using only one or all types of universal lubricating grease to meet all Timken imported bearing applications can cause problems that far exceed the benefits of a unified brand. The application conditions of bearings are very diverse, and correct lubrication requires the lubricating grease to match the application conditions of the bearings.

Bearing grease is the foundation for ensuring smooth, worry free operation and maximum reliability of bearings, even under the most extreme working conditions. Lubricating grease can prevent pollutants from entering the bearings, cushion impact loads, and prevent corrosion. Choosing the appropriate lubricating grease in practical applications is a fundamental condition for obtaining the maximum service life of bearings

The correct criteria for selecting lubricants include the type and size, temperature, speed, load, expected service life, and supplementary lubrication cycle of Timken imported bearings.
